Mumbai to Devgad Rate

One daily rate for your Devgad trip.

Mumbai to Devgad car rental in the Hycross ZX Top: a Mumbai to Devgad taxi with a chauffeur, priced by the day, not by the kilometre. Heading for Kunkeshwar or Vijaydurg, or to the orchards in mango season? It is the same car and the same flat rate. Send your dates on WhatsApp.

Guaranteed model, not a category. You are booking our flagship Innova Hycross ZX Top. Once your booking is confirmed we send you photographs of that exact car, its registration number, and your chauffeur's name and number. Every cab aggregator in this market writes "or similar" against every car, because none of them knows which car will arrive at your door. See the car.

  • Driver allowance
  • No kilometre meter, no minimum kilometres
You pay
  • Fuel: car given on full tank, returned on full tank
  • Toll and parking, at actuals
  • GST, only if you need a GST invoice

Nothing is collected from you on the road. The daily rate covers the chauffeur and his allowance. You buy the fuel, full tank out and full tank back, and you pay toll and parking exactly as incurred, against the FASTag statement and the cash receipts. No night charge, no minimum kilometres, no extra kilometre rate, and nothing added for crossing a state line. The car is serviced on schedule at the authorised Toyota workshop and we keep every invoice. Every rule of a booking, written down.

Devgad is about 500 km from Mumbai, roughly ten hours via the Mumbai-Goa highway. Kankavli, about an hour inland, is the easy place to halt. A three-day trip usually runs 1,100 to 1,200 km. On the flat rate none of it is billed by the kilometre. A day runs until 12 midnight. If the car reaches our garage after 11 PM on the last day, one extra day's driver allowance is payable; after 12 midnight, the next day's rate applies. A ₹2,000 deposit confirms your date.

Our Pick for Devgad

Why the Hycross suits the Devgad drive.

Devgad is a long way down the coast, and the last stretch is narrow village road. A quiet, smooth, high-seated car makes the difference.

Near-silent hybrid cabin. The Hycross ZX Top is a petrol strong hybrid. It pulls away on electric power in silence, and the cabin stays calm, with far less engine noise and vibration than a diesel.

How It Works

The car stays with you on the coast.

We leave early, tank full

Leave Mumbai early, or halt a night in Kankavli on the way.

Temple, fort, beach, orchards

Go as you please around Devgad, Kunkeshwar and Vijaydurg. No kilometre meter is running.

Home on the last day, full tank

Refill at the end of the trip and pay the day rate plus toll/parking. That is the whole bill.

Other Cars for Devgad

The flat rate above is for the Hycross ZX Top. For two or three people on a tighter budget, or a large group, we also run the Innova Crysta, sedans, Ertiga and Carens, Tempo Travellers, the Force Urbania and buses for Mumbai to Devgad, quoted for your trip.

Kunkeshwar temple

A Shiva temple right on the sea shore, south of Devgad. The drive in along the coast is lovely.

Vijaydurg Fort

A large sea fort north of Devgad, among the oldest on this coast, later strengthened under Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Windmill point and Devgad beach

Wind turbines on the headland and a view of the whole bay. The best place for sunset.

Mithmumbari beach road

One of the most scenic coastal roads in the Konkan, on the way to Kunkeshwar.

Pokharbav Ganpati, Dabhole

A small temple with a spring flowing from inside it.

Alphonso orchards

Devgad Alphonso is famous. In April and May, stop at an orchard and fill the boot.

Stay in Kankavli

Break the journey with the Rane family in Kankavli.

Devgad is about 500 km from Mumbai. Many families halt a night in Kankavli, about an hour inland on the highway, and use it as a base for Devgad and Malvan. Our family runs two stays there, each with its own website and phone number.

AC room at the Konkan Central homestay in Kankavli

Konkan Central Homestay

A quiet, family-run homestay 2 minutes off the Mumbai-Goa highway, at Tembwadi, Kankavli.

  • 4 AC rooms, each sleeps up to 4
  • Garden and outdoor sit-outs, pet-friendly
  • Free parking for your car
Large AC family room at Konkan Central Family Rooms, Kankavli

Konkan Central Family Rooms

Two big 400 sq ft AC rooms right on the Mumbai-Goa highway, opposite SBI, Kankavli.

  • For joint families and groups, 4 to 14 guests
  • Hot water, in-room dining, power backup
  • Drive-up parking

The stays are run separately by the family and booked directly with them. Tell us when you book the car and we will plan the drive around your check-in.

Know Before You Go

Six things worth knowing.

April and May are mango season

Devgad Alphonso peaks through April into May. Tell us and we will plan an orchard stop.

The last stretch is village road

Narrow and winding towards the coast. The chauffeur knows it well.

October to March is the best season

Clear skies and calm sea. The monsoon is green but wet.

Kankavli is the easy halt

Break the ten-hour drive with a night in Kankavli.

Add Malvan on the same trip

Sindhudurg Fort and Tarkarli are about an hour south.

One-way drops, at the same rate

A drop is priced exactly like a same-day return to the same place, because the car covers the same kilometres either way. The return kilometres are counted in the band, so there is no one-way premium and no separate dead mileage charge on top. You pay the fuel for the whole journey, out and back, plus toll/parking and any state tax at actuals.

Starting from Navi Mumbai, Panvel or Thane? The Mumbai-Goa highway starts on your side of the city. Tell us your pickup point and we will time the departure around it.

Worth Knowing

The mango is the reason, and we are going to be precise about it.

Devgad is in Sindhudurg district, inside the five district geographical indication the Government of India granted for Alphonso in October 2018, covering Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Palghar, Thane and Raigad. You will also see claims that Devgad has its own separate GI tag. We could not verify that on any official registry, and the local co-operative’s own page describes it as an application. So we will claim the Konkan GI, which is solid, and leave the other alone.

Season is roughly mid March to end May

No official notified season exists and fruiting moves with the weather. We will not tell you the orchards will have fruit on a particular date.

Orchard visits are not a standard inclusion

They are private orchards and they admit visitors at their own discretion. If you want one arranged, say so when you book and we will try, not promise.

The windmills on the headland

The Devgad wind farm sits on the cliff above the sea and is the view most people remember.

Kunkeshwar is the temple to add

South along the coast, with its own beach, and it pairs naturally with a Devgad day.

Usually combined, rarely alone

Most people do Devgad with Malvan or from a Kankavli base. Nine hours from Mumbai is a long way for one headland.

Two to three nights

Anything less and the car is the trip.

The Coast Here

Devgad is a headland, and the drive along it is the trip.

This is the stretch of Sindhudurg coast with almost nothing on it, which is the reason people come and the reason it needs a car. There is no local transport worth the name between these places.

Kunkeshwar, 20 km south

An ancient Shiva temple right on the sand, and the best beach in this part of the district.

Devgad fort and the lighthouse

On the headland above the harbour, with the wind farm behind it.

The fishing harbour

A working jetty rather than a sight, and worth twenty minutes early in the morning.

Taramumbri and Mithbav

Empty beaches north and south, with nothing on them, which is exactly the point.

Malvan is an hour south

Most people do the two together rather than either alone.

Four lane concrete to Kankavli

Then a smaller road west to the coast. The highway part is quick now; the last 40 km is not, and should not be.

Common Questions · Mumbai to Devgad Cab

What people ask before booking.

What are the Mumbai to Devgad cab rates in the Hycross?▾
Devgad, Kunkeshwar and Vijaydurg over three days is about 980 km garage to garage, an average of about 327 km a day, which is the ₹6,000 band, so it is ₹6,000 a day Monday to Saturday and ₹6,500 on Sunday. Four days with Malvan and Kankavli average about 265 km a day and fall in the same band. Fuel, toll and parking are extra and the driver allowance is included.
How far is Devgad from Mumbai?▾
About 500 km, roughly ten hours via the Mumbai-Goa highway.
Is the Mumbai to Devgad taxi billed per kilometre?▾
No. The Hycross flat rate has no kilometre meter and no hourly counting. You pay the daily rate, the fuel your trip uses, and toll/parking.
Can we bring mangoes back in the car?▾
Yes. In April and May we plan an orchard stop, and the boot has room for several boxes.
Where can we stay on the way?▾
Our family runs a homestay and a family-rooms property in Kankavli, about an hour inland. See the Stay in Kankavli section.
Can we add Malvan on the same trip?▾
Yes. Malvan is about an hour south. Many families do Devgad, Malvan and Kankavli in four days.
Is this a Mumbai to Devgad taxi, a cab or a car rental?▾
People search for all of those and here they mean the same thing. A Mumbai to Devgad taxi, a Devgad cab service, Innova car hire and a Mumbai to Devgad car rental all get you the same arrangement from us: one chauffeur-driven Innova that stays with you for the whole trip, priced exactly as this page sets out. We are a car rental service run by the Rane family since 1988 and not an aggregator app, so the car is ours, the chauffeur is on our payroll, and the figure we quote you is the figure you pay. A Mumbai to Devgad cab booking takes one WhatsApp message: the date, your pickup area and how many of you there are.
