Included
  • Innova Hycross ZX Top
  • Chauffeur for the whole trip
  • Driver allowance
  • No kilometre meter, no minimum kilometres
You pay
  • Fuel: car given on full tank, returned on full tank
  • Toll and parking, at actuals
  • GST, only if you need a GST invoice

Nothing is collected from you on the road. The daily rate covers the chauffeur and his allowance. You buy the fuel, full tank out and full tank back, and you pay toll and parking exactly as incurred, against the FASTag statement and the cash receipts. No night charge, no minimum kilometres, no extra kilometre rate, and nothing added for crossing a state line. The car is serviced on schedule at the authorised Toyota workshop and we keep every invoice. Every rule of a booking, written down.

Karjat is about 90 km from Andheri, roughly two and a half hours. A day trip usually runs 180 to 230 km, and a farmhouse weekend with local runs a little more. On the flat rate none of it is billed by the kilometre: you pay the day rate and fill the fuel your trip uses. A day runs until 12 midnight. If the car reaches our garage after 11 PM on the last day, one extra day's driver allowance is payable; after 12 midnight, the next day's rate applies. A ₹2,000 deposit confirms your date.

Our Pick for Karjat

Why the Hycross suits a Karjat weekend.

Karjat weekends often end at a farmhouse down an unmarked lane, in the dark, sometimes in the rain, with the boot full. That last kilometre is where a route-trained chauffeur and a comfortable car matter most.

Near-silent hybrid cabin. The Hycross ZX Top is a petrol strong hybrid. It pulls away on electric power in silence, and the cabin stays calm, with far less engine noise and vibration than a diesel.

How It Works

The car stays at the farmhouse with you.

We arrive, tank full

Share a live location pin of the farmhouse. The Hycross and your chauffeur reach your door.

Falls, caves and the market run

Bhivpuri, Kondana, the rafting meeting point: go as you please. There is no kilometre meter running.

Home on Sunday evening, full tank

Refill at the end of the trip and pay the day rate plus toll/parking. That is the whole bill.

Other Cars for Karjat

Need a different car? We run the full fleet.

The flat rate above is for the Hycross ZX Top. For two or three people on a tighter budget, or a large group, we also run the Innova Crysta, sedans, Ertiga and Carens, Tempo Travellers, the Force Urbania and buses for Mumbai to Karjat, quoted for your trip.

What to See

Caves, white water, and a pool to come back to.

Kondana Caves

Buddhist caves cut into the hillside around the first century BC, about an hour's walk up from the village. Muddy in the rain, worth it at the top.

Ulhas River rafting

Monsoon white water, roughly late June to September. Weekend slots go early, so book direct with an operator and share the meeting point with us.

Bhivpuri Falls

A short walk from the road. Go early if you want it quiet; by eleven on a Sunday it is crowded.

Farmhouse stays

Private villas and resorts with pools, most within twenty minutes of Karjat station. This is what most Karjat trips are really for.

Peth (Kothaligad) Fort

A compact hill fort with a rock-cut staircase up the pinnacle. About two hours up, and unusual enough to be worth it.

ND Studios

A large film set complex. Visits by prior arrangement only, so sort it before you travel.

Know Before You Go

Six things worth knowing.

Send a location pin

Farmhouses sit down unmarked lanes and the names repeat. A live location pin saves half an hour of circling in the dark.

Tell us about a rough lane

Many farmhouse approach roads are unmetalled and worse in the monsoon. Mention it when you book.

Rafting is monsoon-only

Roughly late June to September, and weekend slots book out. Tell us your slot time and we will have you there.

Kondana is a real trek

About an hour each way, slippery in the rain. Not ideal for very young children in the monsoon.

Beat the waterfall crowds

Bhivpuri and Zenith falls fill up on monsoon Sundays. Early morning is a different experience.

Best months

June to September for waterfalls and rafting; October to February for farmhouse and pool weekends.

Starting from Thane, Kalyan or Navi Mumbai? Karjat is on your side of the city, so the drive is shorter. Tell us your pickup point and we will time the departure around it.

What Karjat Actually Is

A river, a resort and two caves. Not a hill station.

Karjat is a town in Raigad district, about two and a half to three and a half hours from Andheri depending on whether we go via Panvel and Chowk or via Kalyan and Badlapur. The real draw is the Ulhas river, the resorts along it, and the monsoon. Most of what people come for is weather dependent, so the honest version of this page is about what is actually reachable.

Kondana caves are a walk

First century BC rock cut caves near Kondhane village, about 14 km from Karjat station at the base of Rajmachi. The car reaches the base village. The caves need a climb. Water seepage has damaged the carvings badly, so manage your expectations.

Matheran is nearby and car free

Cars stop at Dasturi. From there it is on foot, by horse, or the toy train. We will not promise a drop inside Matheran, because there is no such thing.

Two Ashtavinayak temples are close

Varadvinayak at Mahad is about 20 km from Karjat and Ballaleshwar at Pali about 60 km. Almost no Karjat page mentions it, and it turns a resort weekend into something more.

The monsoon orders are real

Raigad and Pune districts issue prohibitory orders most years from about mid June to 30 September covering waterfalls, dams and trek routes, banning swimming, roadside parking and vehicles near the water. We check the current order before any monsoon trip.

We will not advertise ND Studios

The film studio is at Karjat, but we could not confirm its current ownership or whether it admits visitors. We are not going to sell you a tour we cannot verify exists.

Weekends are the squeeze

Resort check in traffic on Saturday morning and check out on Sunday evening. A weekday is a different place entirely.

The Drive

Two roads, and which one depends on where in Mumbai you are.

Karjat is one of the few destinations where our two route options are genuinely different drives rather than variations on one. Tell us your pickup point and we will take the right one.

Via Panvel and Chowk

The route from the western suburbs and from Navi Mumbai. Atal Setu or Vashi, Panvel, then Chowk and in.

Via Kalyan and Badlapur

Shorter from the central line side, Thane, Dombivli and Kalyan. Slower in traffic, quicker if you start there.

Two and a half to three and a half hours

From Andheri East. It is the closest real outstation we run, which is why it works as a day trip when nothing else does.

Toll at actuals

Karjat is not on the Expressway, so that toll does not apply, and we could not verify the rates on either Karjat route. Receipts, not estimates.

Monsoon weekends are the squeeze

Resort check in on Saturday morning, check out on Sunday evening, on roads that were not built for it.

A day trip or an overnight

Both work. The resorts want two nights; the river and the caves fit one long day.

Checked on 4 October 2026. The rates, road conditions, toll positions and timings on this page were reviewed on that date by the Rane family, who drive this route themselves. If anything has changed since, tell us on WhatsApp and we will correct it.

Common Questions · Mumbai to Karjat Cab

What people ask before booking.

How much is a Mumbai to Karjat cab in the Hycross?▾
₹5,500 for a day Monday to Saturday, and ₹6,000 on Sunday. A Saturday and Sunday farmhouse weekend is ₹11,500. Fuel, toll and parking are extra. The car is given on a full tank and returned on a full tank, and the driver allowance is included.
How far is Karjat from Mumbai, and how long is the drive?▾
About 90 km from Andheri, around two and a half hours. A day trip usually runs 180 to 230 km.
Is the Mumbai to Karjat taxi billed per kilometre?▾
No. The Hycross flat rate has no kilometre meter and no hourly counting. You pay the daily rate, the fuel your trip uses, and toll/parking.
Can I book a Mumbai to Karjat one day trip cab?▾
Yes. A day trip for the falls or the caves is one day rate. The car and chauffeur stay with you until you are home.
Does the car stay with us at the farmhouse for the weekend?▾
Yes. The chauffeur stays with the car, ready for the market run, the rafting meeting point and the drive home. The driver allowance covers his own food and stay.
Can we add Lonavala?▾
Yes. Lonavala is about an hour from Karjat; see Mumbai to Lonavala. For another quick escape, see Mumbai to Igatpuri.
Is this a Mumbai to Karjat taxi, a cab or a car rental?▾
People search for all of those and here they mean the same thing. A Mumbai to Karjat taxi, a Karjat cab service, Innova car hire and a Mumbai to Karjat car rental all get you the same arrangement from us: one chauffeur-driven Innova that stays with you for the whole trip, priced exactly as this page sets out. We are a car rental service run by the Rane family since 1988 and not an aggregator app, so the car is ours, the chauffeur is on our payroll, and the figure we quote you is the figure you pay. A Mumbai to Karjat cab booking takes one WhatsApp message: the date, your pickup area and how many of you there are.

Mumbai to Karjat in the Hycross ZX Top, from ₹5,500 a day (Sunday ₹6,000).
