Our chauffeurs know this circuit. They know the order the temples are taken in, where the car can wait, how long darshan usually runs at each one, and where to stop for food and a toilet break. You are not directing the driver from the back seat.

The Innova Crysta is the same trip at ₹500 a day less, driver plus 6 with two captain seats in the middle row; driver plus 7 is subject to availability, when a bench extension is fitted between the captain seats. The Innova Hycross ZX Top is the top model: powered recliner captain seats, a panoramic sunroof and a near-silent hybrid cabin. Rates follow the kilometres covered in a day, so adding a day usually lowers the daily rate. Work out your exact rate.

  • Chauffeur for the whole trip
  • Driver allowance
  • No kilometre meter, no minimum kilometres
You pay
  • Fuel: car given on full tank, returned on full tank
  • Toll and parking, at actuals

Nothing is collected from you on the road. The daily rate covers the chauffeur and his allowance. You buy the fuel, full tank out and full tank back, and you pay toll and parking exactly as incurred, against the FASTag statement and the cash receipts. No night charge, no minimum kilometres, no extra kilometre rate, and nothing added for crossing a state line. The car is serviced on schedule at the authorised Toyota workshop and we keep every invoice. Every rule of a booking, written down.

Trimbakeshwar is about 195 km from Andheri, roughly four hours by the Nashik highway. A day trip runs about 410 km garage to garage. On the flat rate none of it is billed by the kilometre: you pay the day rate and fill the fuel your trip uses. A day runs until 12 midnight. If the car reaches our garage after 11 PM on the last day, one extra day's driver allowance is payable; after 12 midnight, the next day's rate applies. A ₹2,000 deposit confirms your date.

Our Pick for Trimbakeshwar

Why the Hycross suits a puja booking.

A puja is not a sightseeing trip. The car stands for hours at a time, then drives a tired family home. A quiet cabin and a reclining seat matter more here than a fast one.

Near-silent hybrid cabin. The Hycross ZX Top is a petrol strong hybrid. It pulls away on electric power in silence, and the cabin stays calm, with far less engine noise and vibration than a diesel.

How It Works

The car waits through the puja.

We arrive early, tank full

The morning abhishek is the quiet one. The Hycross and your chauffeur reach your door before dawn.

The car waits through the puja

Narayan Nagbali and Kaal Sarp pujas run for hours across two or three mornings. The car and chauffeur stay with you the whole time.

Home by night, return on a full tank

Refill at the end and pay the day rate plus toll and parking. That is the whole bill.

What to See

A Jyotirlinga, a river source and a hill of steps.

Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga

The tenth Jyotirlinga, in black stone, where the linga sits in a hollow rather than standing. The morning abhishek is the one to see.

Kushavarta Kund

The stepped tank beside the temple, counted as the source of the Godavari. Pilgrims bathe here before darshan.

Brahmagiri Hill

Seven hundred steps to the true source of the river and the view across the Sahyadri. Two to three hours up and down.

Anjaneri

The hill said to be Hanuman's birthplace, on the Nashik road. A steady climb with a plateau at the top.

Panchavati, Nashik

Ramkund, Kalaram temple and the Sita Gufa, about thirty kilometres away. Easy to add to the same trip.

Pandavleni Caves

Two thousand years of Buddhist rock-cut chambers on the Mumbai side of Nashik, a good stop on the way home.

Know Before You Go

Six things worth knowing before Trimbakeshwar.

Puja bookings need three days

Narayan Nagbali and Kaal Sarp pujas are performed on fixed days and run across three mornings. Tell us the dates from the priest and we will plan the car around them.

Go early for the abhishek

The temple opens at half past five. Darshan before eight is calm; by ten the queue runs down the street.

Brahmagiri is a half day

A long stone stairway to the source of the Godavari. Start it before nine or leave it for a second visit, and know that the Forest Department shuts Brahmagiri, Anjaneri and Dugarwadi at a few hours notice on a monsoon red alert, as it did on 6 July 2026.

Shravan Mondays are very heavy

Trimbakeshwar in Shravan draws enormous crowds. Go on a weekday outside Shravan if the darshan matters more than the date.

Leave valuables in the car

The trust publishes almost nothing online beyond its darshan hours and its Rs 200 pass, so what is enforced at the gate varies. Leave anything you would rather not carry with the chauffeur, who stays with the car.

Best months

October to March. The monsoon is green but Brahmagiri becomes slippery and the queue moves slowly in the rain.

Starting from Thane, Mulund or Kalyan? Both roads, the old Nashik highway and the Samruddhi expressway, start on your side of the city. Tell us your pickup point and we will time the departure around it.

The Road

Trimbak Road is a building site until 2027, so we may not go through Nashik at all.

The Kumbh authority approved about Rs 13.5 billion of road work for 2027, and Trimbak Road is on the list. The Nashik Collector’s own August 2026 traffic order warned that the road is under construction with single lane working in places, and that mixing ordinary traffic with pilgrim vehicles on one carriageway risks jams and accidents. White topping is due by December 2026 and the whole programme by March 2027. Until then there is a better way in.

The Igatpuri approach

Since the Samruddhi expressway reached Mumbai in June 2025, a car can run down the expressway, come off at the Igatpuri interchange and reach Trimbak through Ghoti, skipping Nashik city entirely. Igatpuri to Trimbakeshwar is around 26 km.

The old road

Thane, Bhiwandi, Shahapur, Kasara ghat, Igatpuri, Nashik, then 28 to 30 km west. Two toll plazas, Arjunalli and Ghoti, roughly Rs 140 to Rs 150 each way. The right road if you want Nashik or the vineyards in the same trip.

Four to five hours, honestly

Mumbai to Nashik can be two and a half hours on the expressway on a good day. Add the Andheri start and the Trimbak leg and four to five hours one way is the shape we plan to.

Why we may ask which you prefer

Ghoti is quicker and avoids the roadworks. Nashik is the road if Panchavati, Kalaram or a vineyard are in the plan. We will tell you the trade off rather than just picking.

The Kumbh changes everything from late October 2026

On Amrit Snan days private vehicles will be kept out of central Nashik altogether, with 26 parking areas at Trimbakeshwar alone and shuttle buses to the inner lots. If your dates fall in the mela, book early and expect to be bussed.

Kasara ghat in the monsoon

Landslides and slow truck traffic. One more reason the expressway route has become our default on this run.

Darshan and Parking

The only paid darshan the trust sells is Rs 200, on its own website.

In April 2026 the police broke up a paid darshan racket at Trimbakeshwar where devotees were getting darshan in about ten minutes for Rs 3,000 a head. Four people were arrested, including a temple trustee. Separately, in September 2025 the trust itself complained to the police about fake puja apps and websites, calling them emotional exploitation, and stated plainly that Kalsarp Puja is never performed inside the Trimbakeshwar temple. If someone is selling you quick darshan for cash, or an online Kalsarp Puja, they are not the trust. We sell cars. We do not sell darshan.

The real pass

Rs 200 a person, booked on the trust’s own site, up to four people a booking, with a QR code and photo ID checked at the gate. Children under ten and persons with disabilities are exempt from the charge.

On Shravan Mondays, cars stop at Khambale

By order of the Nashik Collector in August 2026, private vehicles including cars and taxis were barred from entering Trimbakeshwar town on the Shravan Monday weekends, because the town cannot park them. Everyone stops at the outer lot at Khambale and takes a state bus in. Ambulances, school vehicles and residents with ID are exempt.

The crowds are not ordinary

The administration expected one to one and a half lakh people on most Shravan Mondays in 2026 and four to four and a half lakh on the third. It also advised senior citizens, heart patients, pregnant women, nursing mothers and small children to stay away on those days. We will pass that on rather than take the booking quietly.

The sanctum

Since April 2016 the trust has barred everyone, men and women alike, from entering the garbhagriha, a decision taken after a High Court ruling on equal access. As far as we can tell that is still the position. Confirm at the temple rather than take our word or a travel blog’s.

If you are here for a vidhi

Narayan Nagbali and the other rituals run across several mornings. Tell us when you book. The same car and the same chauffeur stay with you, and averaging the days across the booking brings the daily rate down.

Ordinary days are ordinary

Outside Shravan, the Kumbh dates and Mahashivratri, a weekday morning at Trimbakeshwar is calm and the car parks near the temple area. Most of the warnings above are about four or five days a month, not every day.

Checked on 4 October 2026. The rates, road conditions, toll positions and timings on this page were reviewed on that date by the Rane family, who drive this route themselves. If anything has changed since, tell us on WhatsApp and we will correct it.

Common Questions · Mumbai to Trimbakeshwar Cab

What people ask before booking.

How much is a Mumbai to Trimbakeshwar cab in the Hycross?▾
A Trimbakeshwar day trip is about 410 km garage to garage, which is the ₹6,500 band Monday to Saturday and ₹7,000 on Sunday. Over two days with Nashik and Panchavati the average falls to about 245 km a day, so it is ₹5,500 a day (₹6,000 on Sunday). Fuel, toll and parking are extra and the driver allowance is included.
How far is Trimbakeshwar from Mumbai, and how long is the drive?▾
About 195 km from Andheri, roughly four hours by the Nashik highway and then thirty kilometres west. A day trip runs about 410 km garage to garage.
Can you keep the car for a Narayan Nagbali puja?▾
Yes. The puja runs across three mornings. We plan a three-day booking so the same car and the same chauffeur are with you throughout, and the averaged distance brings the rate down to ₹5,500 a day.
Is the Mumbai to Trimbakeshwar taxi billed per kilometre?▾
No. The Hycross flat rate has no kilometre meter and no hourly counting. You pay the daily rate, the fuel your trip uses, and toll/parking.
Can we add Shirdi to the same trip?▾
Yes. Shirdi is about ninety minutes east of Nashik and fits a second or third day. See Mumbai to Shirdi.
Do you pick up from Thane and Navi Mumbai?▾
Yes, with no extra charge for a pickup within the city. Many Trimbakeshwar trips start in Thane, Mulund or Ghatkopar, which saves time on the Nashik highway.
Is this a Mumbai to Trimbakeshwar taxi, a cab or a car rental?▾
People search for all of those and here they mean the same thing. A Mumbai to Trimbakeshwar taxi, a Trimbakeshwar cab service, Innova car hire and a Mumbai to Trimbakeshwar car rental all get you the same arrangement from us: one chauffeur-driven Innova that stays with you for the whole trip, priced exactly as this page sets out. We are a car rental service run by the Rane family since 1988 and not an aggregator app, so the car is ours, the chauffeur is on our payroll, and the figure we quote you is the figure you pay. A Mumbai to Trimbakeshwar cab booking takes one WhatsApp message: the date, your pickup area and how many of you there are.
