The Innova Crysta is the same trip at ₹500 a day less, driver plus 6 with two captain seats in the middle row; driver plus 7 is subject to availability, when a bench extension is fitted between the captain seats. The Innova Hycross ZX Top is the top model: powered recliner captain seats, a panoramic sunroof and a near-silent hybrid cabin. Rates follow the kilometres covered in a day, so adding a day usually lowers the daily rate. Work out your exact rate.
Nothing is collected from you on the road. The daily rate covers the chauffeur and his allowance. You buy the fuel, full tank out and full tank back, and you pay toll and parking exactly as incurred, against the FASTag statement and the cash receipts. No night charge, no minimum kilometres, no extra kilometre rate, and nothing added for crossing a state line. The car is serviced on schedule at the authorised Toyota workshop and we keep every invoice. Every rule of a booking, written down.
Ratnagiri is about 330 km from Mumbai, roughly seven hours down the Konkan coast. A three-day trip usually runs 800 to 900 km. On the flat rate none of it is billed by the kilometre: you pay the day rate and fill the fuel your trip uses. A day runs until 12 midnight. If the car reaches our garage after 11 PM on the last day, one extra day's driver allowance is payable; after 12 midnight, the next day's rate applies. A ₹2,000 deposit confirms your date.
Ratnagiri is a base, not a single sight: the fort, the palace, the beaches and the orchards are spread out. You will be in and out of the car all day, so it should be the comfortable part.
Near-silent hybrid cabin. The Hycross ZX Top is a petrol strong hybrid. It pulls away on electric power in silence, and the cabin stays calm, with far less engine noise and vibration than a diesel.
An early start puts you on the coast by afternoon. The Hycross and your chauffeur reach your door.
Go as you please around town and the coast. There is no kilometre meter running.
Refill at the end of the trip and pay the day rate plus toll/parking. That is the whole bill.

A crate is awkward on a train and costly to courier. In the car it simply goes in the back.
Rooms are scarcer and dearer through December and New Year. Fix the stay and the car early.
The sights are spread across town and the coast. You will use the car all day.
Seven hours each way makes a day trip pointless.
June to September is beautiful, but the sea is unsafe for swimming.
Starting from Navi Mumbai or Panvel? The Goa highway starts on your side of the city. Tell us your pickup point and we will time the departure around it.
It is a working port and district town about seven to eight hours from Mumbai. The beaches, the temples and Ganpatipule are what you drive out to from it. Treat it as the place you sleep and the car does the rest, and the trip works. Treat it as a beach town and it will not.
The district administration’s own words: the British built it to hold the deposed king of Burma under house arrest. Not a local ruler’s palace, which is how most travel pages describe it.
Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, 1856, and the house in Tilak Ali is a memorial the district lists as a tourist site.
By the Nevare road, per the temple trust. People often book Ratnagiri and Ganpatipule as separate trips when they are a short drive apart.
Thibaw Palace is a state run site and we could not find a published fee or timing. Whatever is charged on the day goes on your bill with the receipt.
From roughly Lanja south the four lane concrete is finished and the driving is easy. North of Ratnagiri it is still a work in progress.
Seven to eight hours each way. A single night means two long driving days and nothing in between.
Ratnagiri earns its place as a base because everything worth seeing is 20 to 60 km out, on roads that are now good. That is exactly the shape a chauffeur driven car suits, and exactly the shape a self drive weekend does not.
