Our chauffeurs know this circuit. They know the order the temples are taken in, where the car can wait, how long darshan usually runs at each one, and where to stop for food and a toilet break. You are not directing the driver from the back seat.
The Innova Crysta is the same trip at ₹500 a day less, driver plus 6 with two captain seats in the middle row; driver plus 7 is subject to availability, when a bench extension is fitted between the captain seats. The Innova Hycross ZX Top is the top model: powered recliner captain seats, a panoramic sunroof and a near-silent hybrid cabin. Rates follow the kilometres covered in a day, so adding a day usually lowers the daily rate. Work out your exact rate.
Nothing is collected from you on the road. The daily rate covers the chauffeur and his allowance. You buy the fuel, full tank out and full tank back, and you pay toll and parking exactly as incurred, against the FASTag statement and the cash receipts. No night charge, no minimum kilometres, no extra kilometre rate, and nothing added for crossing a state line. The car is serviced on schedule at the authorised Toyota workshop and we keep every invoice. Every rule of a booking, written down.
Kolhapur is about 380 km from Andheri, roughly seven hours by the expressway and the Pune-Bengaluru highway. Two days runs about 820 km garage to garage. On the flat rate none of it is billed by the kilometre: you pay the day rate and fill the fuel your trip uses. A day runs until 12 midnight. If the car reaches our garage after 11 PM on the last day, one extra day's driver allowance is payable; after 12 midnight, the next day's rate applies. A ₹2,000 deposit confirms your date.
Seven hours down and seven back, with a temple queue and a fort walk in between. This is a route where the seat you sit in decides how the trip feels.
Near-silent hybrid cabin. The Hycross ZX Top is a petrol strong hybrid. It pulls away on electric power in silence, and the cabin stays calm, with far less engine noise and vibration than a diesel.
The expressway and then the Pune-Bengaluru highway. The Hycross and your chauffeur reach your door at first light.
Darshan queues at Mahalakshmi move steadily but they are long on weekends. The car and chauffeur stay while you are inside.
Refill at the end and pay the day rate plus toll and parking. That is the whole bill.

The temple opens before five. Between six and eight on a weekday the queue is short; Friday and Sunday it is not.
The fort is spread out and the rampart walk is long. Start it before ten.
Fine for our chauffeurs, slow on a Sunday when the buses come up. Allow two hours from the city and back.
Both are worth planning for. Ask the chauffeur where the locals go rather than where the signboards point.
Modest dress is expected and leather is left outside. The chauffeur stays with the car and your things.
October to March. The monsoon is beautiful on Panhala but the fort paths become slippery.
Starting from Navi Mumbai or Panvel? The Pune expressway starts on your side of the city. Tell us your pickup point and we will time the departure around it.
The temple’s own website sells puja, abhishek and donations. It does not sell queue access. Abhishek Rs 151, Padyapooja Rs 151, Kunkumarchan Rs 201, Panchamrut Abhishek with saree Rs 751, and a few lifetime options. A great many commercial sites advertise Kolhapur Mahalakshmi VIP darshan tickets and e-passes. The temple offers no such product. We sell cars. We do not sell darshan, and we would be suspicious of anyone who does.
The temple’s own site gives the Kakad Aarati at 5:00 in one place and 5:30 in another, so we say around. Abhishek and Shodshopchar pooja at 8:30 and again at 11:30, naivedya at 9:30.
The temple streams both Mahalaxmi Ambabai and Jyotiba at Wadi Ratnagiri from its own site. Useful if an elder in the family cannot travel.
Three days around Ratha Saptami in January. Day one the ray falls on the feet, day two the middle, day three the face. The temple does not publish the calendar dates, so check the year you are going.
Maharashtra Tourism’s own figure, reachable by road, with Andhar Bavadi, Sajja Kothi and Teen Darwaza to see. The state recommends October to February.
Under the same temple administration, a short drive out, and it pairs naturally with a morning at Mahalakshmi.
Six and a half to seven and a half hours on good highway through Pune. One night and two days does the temple and Panhala comfortably.
