The Innova Crysta is the same trip at ₹500 a day less, driver plus 6 with two captain seats in the middle row; driver plus 7 is subject to availability, when a bench extension is fitted between the captain seats. The Innova Hycross ZX Top is the top model: powered recliner captain seats, a panoramic sunroof and a near-silent hybrid cabin. Rates follow the kilometres covered in a day, so adding a day usually lowers the daily rate. Work out your exact rate.
Nothing is collected from you on the road. The daily rate covers the chauffeur and his allowance. You buy the fuel, full tank out and full tank back, and you pay toll and parking exactly as incurred, against the FASTag statement and the cash receipts. No night charge, no minimum kilometres, no extra kilometre rate, and nothing added for crossing a state line. The car is serviced on schedule at the authorised Toyota workshop and we keep every invoice. Every rule of a booking, written down.
Malvan is about 530 km from Mumbai, roughly ten to eleven hours on the Mumbai-Goa highway. Many families halt a night at Kankavli, about 35 km before Malvan. A four-day trip usually runs 1,200 to 1,400 km. On the flat rate none of it is billed by the kilometre. A day runs until 12 midnight. If the car reaches our garage after 11 PM on the last day, one extra day's driver allowance is payable; after 12 midnight, the next day's rate applies. A ₹2,000 deposit confirms your date.
Malvan is the far end of the Konkan drive from Mumbai. The car you spend ten hours in should be the comfortable part.
Near-silent hybrid cabin. The Hycross ZX Top is a petrol strong hybrid. It pulls away on electric power in silence, and the cabin stays calm, with far less engine noise and vibration than a diesel.
Leave Mumbai early, or break the drive with a night in Kankavli.
Go as you please between Malvan, Tarkarli and Devbag. No kilometre meter is running.
Refill at the end of the trip and pay the day rate plus toll/parking. That is the whole bill.

Boats run in fair weather and stop in the monsoon, roughly June to September.
Scuba, snorkelling and parasailing run roughly October to May, and are paid separately to the operators.

A drop is priced exactly like a same-day return to the same place, because the car covers the same kilometres either way. The return kilometres are counted in the band, so there is no one-way premium and no separate dead mileage charge on top. You pay the fuel for the whole journey, out and back, plus toll/parking and any state tax at actuals.
Starting from Navi Mumbai, Panvel or Thane? The Mumbai-Goa highway starts on your side of the city. Tell us your pickup point and we will time the departure around it.
The fort stands a kilometre off the coast and there is no bridge. The ferry crossing takes 10 to 15 minutes and your car waits at Malvan. Maharashtra Tourism is blunt about the season: June to September is not suitable, heavy rain and rough sea make the boat unsafe and access is often restricted. We will drive you to Malvan in the monsoon happily. We will not promise you the fort.
Twelve feet thick. It is a serious piece of engineering and it photographs badly from the shore, which is why the boat matters.
Scuba and the rest stop in the monsoon. We found no official notification fixing the dates and no verifiable licensing register, so we will not vouch for any individual operator.
Nine to ten hours of driving each way. Two nights gives you one usable day, and the fort plus diving will not fit in it.
The fort is off Malvan. The district is the whole of the far Konkan. People book one meaning the other.
Separate from Malvan town and the usual base for anyone in the water. Tell us which you mean when you book.
The boat and the dive are decided on the day by the sea. We promise the drive, the car and the base. The rest is the weather’s call.
Most Malvan pages are a photograph of Sindhudurg fort and a paragraph of adjectives. The useful version is what you do on the days the sea will not let you out, because in a four day trip there will usually be one.
Separate from Malvan town, and where the diving, snorkelling and the backwater boats actually run. Book your base there if the water is the point.

June to September the boats stop and the fort is often shut. Malvan in the monsoon is green and empty and a completely different holiday.
