Included
  • Innova Hycross ZX Top
  • Chauffeur for the whole trip
  • Driver allowance
  • No kilometre meter, no minimum kilometres
You pay
  • Fuel: car given on full tank, returned on full tank
  • Toll and parking, at actuals
  • GST, only if you need a GST invoice

Nothing is collected from you on the road. The daily rate covers the chauffeur and his allowance. You buy the fuel, full tank out and full tank back, and you pay toll and parking exactly as incurred, against the FASTag statement and the cash receipts. No night charge, no minimum kilometres, no extra kilometre rate, and nothing added for crossing a state line. The car is serviced on schedule at the authorised Toyota workshop and we keep every invoice. Every rule of a booking, written down.

Nashik is about 170 km from Mumbai each way, and a day that includes Trimbakeshwar runs roughly 380 to 420 km. On the flat rate none of it is billed by the kilometre: you pay the day rate and fill the fuel your trip uses. A day runs until 12 midnight. If the car reaches our garage after 11 PM on the last day, one extra day's driver allowance is payable; after 12 midnight, the next day's rate applies. A ₹2,000 deposit confirms your date.

Our Pick for Nashik

Why the Hycross suits the Nashik run.

Trimbak is an hour beyond the city, Panchavati has to be walked, and the drive home comes down the Kasara Ghat at the end of a long day on your feet. The car should be the restful part.

Near-silent hybrid cabin. The Hycross ZX Top is a petrol strong hybrid. It pulls away on electric power in silence, and the cabin stays calm, with far less engine noise and vibration than a diesel.

How It Works

No meter to watch between temples.

We arrive at 6 AM, tank full

An early start beats the Kasara Ghat traffic. The Hycross and your chauffeur reach your door.

The car waits at every stop

Trimbakeshwar, Panchavati, the caves: go at your own pace. There is no kilometre meter running.

Home by night, return on a full tank

Refill at the end of the trip and pay the day rate plus toll/parking. That is the whole bill.

Other Cars for Nashik

Need a different car? We run the full fleet.

The flat rate above is for the Hycross ZX Top. For two or three people on a tighter budget, or a large group, we also run the Innova Crysta, sedans, Ertiga and Carens, Tempo Travellers, the Force Urbania and buses for Mumbai to Nashik, quoted for your trip.

What to See

A Jyotirlinga, an old temple town, and caves in the hillside.

Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga temple, Nashik

Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga

One of the twelve Jyotirlingas, at the source of the Godavari, about an hour beyond the city. Queues are longest on Mondays and through Shravan.

Panchavati and Ramkund

The old town on the river: Kalaram Temple, Sita Gufaa and the ghats. The lanes are narrow, so we park once and you walk it.

Muktidham Temple

Built in Makrana marble, with the chapters of the Gita carved on its walls and replicas of the twelve Jyotirlingas. An easy first stop.

Pandavleni Caves

Buddhist caves cut into the hillside around the first century BC. A stepped climb of about twenty minutes, with a view over the city.

Anjneri Hill

Believed to be the birthplace of Hanuman, on the Trimbak road. A proper hike, best given a morning of its own.

Someshwar and Dudhsagar Falls

The old Someshwar temple on the Godavari, with the falls a short walk away. Best from July to September.

Know Before You Go

Six things worth knowing.

Leave Mumbai by 6 AM

Kasara Ghat backs up once weekend traffic builds. An early start is the difference between arriving for breakfast and arriving for lunch.

Give Trimbakeshwar its own half-day

The temple is about an hour beyond Nashik city. Go on a weekday morning if you can, and carry a change of clothes if anyone will bathe at Kushavarta.

Darshan has free and paid queues

On Mondays and through Shravan both are long. Men are asked to remove upper garments for the inner sanctum. Arrive before nine if you can.

Panchavati is a walking stop

Ramkund, Kalaram Temple and Sita Gufaa sit within a few lanes of each other. We park once and wait while you walk it.

One day is Trimbak; two days is everything

Trying to fit Trimbakeshwar, Panchavati and the caves into one day means seeing all three in a rush.

Best months: October to March

Dry and cool for a long day of walking. The monsoon makes the ghat beautiful and the falls full, but allow extra time.

Starting from Thane, Mulund, Ghatkopar or Navi Mumbai? The Nashik highway starts on your side of the city. Tell us your pickup point and we will time the departure around it.

The Road

Two roads to Nashik, and we will ask you which one you want.

Nashik is about 170 km from Mumbai by the old Mumbai Agra highway. Since 5 June 2025 there has also been a second way: the Samruddhi expressway, which you join at Amane near Bhiwandi and leave at Igatpuri, then about 45 km of ordinary road into the city. The expressway is longer in kilometres and costs more in toll. It is also far more predictable, and in the monsoon that matters more than the distance.

Via Kasara ghat, about 5 hours

Thane, Bhiwandi, Padgha, Vadape, Shahapur, Asangaon, Kasara, the ghat climb, Igatpuri, Ghoti, Gonde, Nashik. The prettier road, and the slower one. Padgha is the usual bottleneck.

Via Samruddhi, about 3 hours 30

On at Amane, off at Igatpuri, no ghat at all. Expect closer to four hours coming back. There is no fuel or food stop between Amane and Igatpuri, so we fill up and let you eat before we get on.

Kasara ghat in the monsoon

Waterfalls beside the road, which is why weekend traffic peaks, and landslides, which is why a three and a half hour drive can become six. A boulder came down near Jawhar Phata in September 2025 and held traffic for half an hour. They usually clear quickly. They are not predictable.

Ghat closures happen with little notice

The old ghat was shut in daytime phases for resurfacing in February and March 2025, with cars diverted to the new ghat. Nothing is announced for now, and notices come only days ahead, so we check before every trip.

Roadworks on the last 20 km

The Gonde to Pimpri Sado stretch is being widened from four lanes to six, due December 2026, brought forward for the Kumbh. Expect lane shifts and slow patches near Gonde and Pathardi Phata through this year.

Going on to Shirdi

If Shirdi is in the plan, Samruddhi has its own Sinnar and Shirdi interchanges, so Nashik and Shirdi join up without doubling back. Shirdi is about 90 km from Nashik.

Trimbakeshwar

The darshan pass is Rs 200, and it comes from the temple, not from us.

Trimbakeshwar is about 28 to 30 km from Nashik on Trimbak Road, roughly 45 minutes to an hour. The temple trust runs an online donation darshan pass at Rs 200 a person on its own site, trimbakeshwartrust.com, up to four people a booking, with a QR code and photo ID checked at the gate. Children under ten and persons with disabilities are exempt from the charge. Plenty of sites sell "VIP darshan" for a great deal more. Book it yourself from the trust and keep the difference.

Darshan hours

The trust states the temple is open for darshan from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Kakad Aarti is at 5:30 AM and the Shejarati at 9:00 PM before the doors close.

The queue layout changed in 2026

A new administrative building and a darshan queue pavilion were opened at Trimbakeshwar on 31 January 2026 under the central PRASAD scheme. If a driver last brought you here in 2024, the approach is not the same.

We do not publish the sanctum rules

The trust does not publish a dress code or inner sanctum rules anywhere online, and we are not going to repeat what travel blogs say about it. Ask at the temple office on the day. We will drop you at the queue entrance.

Shravan Mondays are the busiest

Roughly late July to late August. If your dates are flexible and darshan is the point of the trip, almost any other day is easier.

If you are here for a vidhi

Narayan Nagbali, Kalsarpa Shanti and Tripindi Vidhi are performed at Trimbakeshwar and they run for hours or across days. Tell us when you book, because it changes how long the car is held and therefore what the trip costs.

Kushavarta

The kund beside the temple, treated as the source of the Godavari, where many bathe before darshan. Allow for it in the morning rather than squeezing it in.

The Vineyards

Six wines will put you over the legal limit. That is the whole point of us.

India’s drink driving limit is 0.03 per cent blood alcohol, which is low. A single tasting flight of six wines can take an ordinary adult past it. That is not a sales line, it is the law, and it is the honest reason a vineyard day in Nashik is better with a driver than with a designated friend who will resent you.

Sula, and you do not need to book

Open daily 10:30 AM to 10:30 PM, on the Gangapur Savargaon road. Tours run hourly and you can walk in and buy at the counter. The winery tour is Rs 200 on a weekday and Rs 300 at the weekend; Best of Sula, which is the tour plus six flagship wines, is Rs 600 and Rs 700. A personalised tasting with cheese is Rs 1,500 a head with a minimum of four.

York, on the dam

About twenty minutes from the city near Gangapur dam, with an open air garden restaurant looking over the water. Tasting room from 11 AM, and the restaurant runs into the night.

Soma

A boutique winery and resort offering a basic tour, a premium tour that includes the barrel room, and a barrel tasting with a private lunch. They do not publish timings or prices, so we ring them for you before the day rather than guess.

Dry days will spoil a wine trip

Maharashtra bans sale on Republic Day, Martyrs’ Day, Maharashtra Day, Independence Day and across Gandhi week from 2 to 9 October, and collectors can add days. Check your dates against that before you book a vineyard trip. Almost nobody will tell you this.

The best weeks

Harvest runs from late January through mid April and the vineyards look their best in February. That is also when SulaFest has usually fallen, which is the hardest weekend of the year to find a car or a room.

Fifty two wineries

Nashik district has more than fifty, and the valley is registered under the Geographical Indications Act, which requires the grapes to be local and the wine to be made in the district. There is more here than the two names everyone knows.

The Kumbh

The Simhastha Kumbh starts here on 31 October 2026.

The flag hoisting is at Ramkund in Panchavati on 31 October 2026. The three Amrit Snan dates are 2 August, 31 August and 11 September 2027, with dozens of further bathing days set for Nashik and Trimbakeshwar in between. A statutory Kumbh Mela Authority now runs the arrangements, with separate entry and exit routes for devotees and designated parking. Vehicle access near Ramkund and Trimbakeshwar will be controlled on bathing dates. Reports differ on when the mela closes, some saying July 2027 and some July 2028, so we are not going to pick one for you.

What it means for your trip

If you are travelling for the Kumbh, book the car months ahead, not weeks. If you are travelling to Nashik for anything else in August or September 2027, consider going at a different time.

Why there are two bathing places

Shaivites centre on Trimbakeshwar and Vaishnavites on Ramkund in the city. It is why a Kumbh trip here is really two destinations, 30 km apart, and why the car matters.

Panchavati and Ramkund

The old city north of the Godavari, with Ramkund, Sita Gufa, Kalaram and Kapaleshwar within walking distance of each other. The lanes are narrow and a car cannot reach the ghat steps, so we drop you at the nearest motorable point and wait.

Kalaram

Black basalt, built 1788 to 1792, a seventy foot gold plated spire, and the site of Dr Ambedkar’s 1930 Satyagraha. Best months October to March.

Muktidham

White marble at Nashik Road, with replicas of all twelve Jyotirlingas and the Gita on the walls. Open 6 AM to 7 PM. It is on the far side of the city from Panchavati, so it pairs with arriving or leaving.

Pandavleni

Twenty four Buddhist caves on Trirashmi hill, about 8 km out on Trimbak Road, cut between the second century BCE and the sixth century CE. There is a climb of steps from the parking, so allow for it and wear something sensible.

Checked on 4 October 2026. The rates, road conditions, toll positions and timings on this page were reviewed on that date by the Rane family, who drive this route themselves. If anything has changed since, tell us on WhatsApp and we will correct it.

Common Questions · Mumbai to Nashik Cab

What people ask before booking.

How much is a Mumbai to Nashik cab in the Hycross?▾
A Nashik or Trimbakeshwar day trip is about 340 km garage to garage, which is the ₹6,000 band Monday to Saturday and ₹6,500 on Sunday. Two days covering Trimbakeshwar, Panchavati and the caves average about 225 km a day, so they are ₹5,500 a day (Sunday ₹6,000). Fuel, toll and parking are extra. The driver allowance is included and there is no kilometre meter.
How far is Nashik from Mumbai, and how long is the drive?▾
About 170 km each way, around four hours up the Kasara Ghat. A day that includes Trimbakeshwar runs roughly 380 to 420 km.
Is the Mumbai Nashik taxi billed per kilometre?▾
No. The Hycross flat rate has no kilometre meter and no hourly counting. You pay the daily rate, the fuel your trip uses, and toll/parking.
Can we see Trimbakeshwar and Panchavati in one day?▾
It can be done as a long day, but two days is more comfortable. Most families pick Trimbakeshwar for a day trip and add Panchavati and the caves on a second day.
Can the Nashik trip be extended to Shirdi?▾
Yes. Shirdi is on the same road, about two hours beyond Nashik. Nashik and Shirdi together work well as two days; see Mumbai to Shirdi.
Do you pick up from Thane and Navi Mumbai?▾
Yes, with no extra charge for a pickup within the city. Starting from that side saves time on the Nashik highway.
Is this a Mumbai to Nashik taxi, a cab or a car rental?▾
People search for all of those and here they mean the same thing. A Mumbai to Nashik taxi, a Nashik cab service, Innova car hire and a Mumbai to Nashik car rental all get you the same arrangement from us: one chauffeur-driven Innova that stays with you for the whole trip, priced exactly as this page sets out. We are a car rental service run by the Rane family since 1988 and not an aggregator app, so the car is ours, the chauffeur is on our payroll, and the figure we quote you is the figure you pay. A Mumbai to Nashik cab booking takes one WhatsApp message: the date, your pickup area and how many of you there are.

Mumbai to Nashik in the Hycross ZX Top, from ₹6,000 a day (Sunday ₹6,500).
